Alternative to your wedding day, Wear the dress, Trash the dress, After-Session, Bridal

Andrews Photography "After-Sessions" "Wear the Dress" "Trash the Dress" New trend's in the wedding market.

After Session have been big this year especially with the weather being so unpredictable. Your wedding day is still the same day, brides, try to do your all your formals before the ceremony. Then enjoy your day as it should be with your guests. After Sessions have saved many wedding dreams. Brides think about it if you want a cool location across town and you just didn't have the time on your wedding day. Plan a After-Session with your photographer for the ultimate experience. We add a After Session or Wear the dress session for free to any bridal package ordered in 2009 or 2010. That's pretty cool a $1500.00 Savings. After-Sessions run about 1-2 hours and help expand your dream day. You can wear your hair the same way as your wedding day or maybe change it up. After-Sessions are usually based on photos taken like landscapes. Brides think of a beautiful landscape then add you and your guy in it. Award winning image to say the least.

Andrews Photography had the chance to photograph Sarah and Rio. A couple planning there wedding for the future. She got very excited and wanted to see herself in her dress early, We would call this a "Formal Bridal Session". Rio the groom to be was nervous, he never gets his photo taken that often. He did really well though for a guy that does not like his photo being taken.

Sarah asked if Andrews Photography had any cool concept ideas for a After Session kind of look. We came up with the bride of 2000 cleaning and wearing her wedding dress. The fall colors on Grand Ave were kicking like crazy. So we went outside for a few cha-cha photos and a bridal reflection.

On a different note I think well start to seeing more non traditional gowns and weddings in 2011. Example, Most Russian Brides choose to wear a deep red dress, Some Euro Brides have been going to Royal blue with white and silver accents. Caribean bound brides try off white, creams, Ivory or pale pinks and blues.

Thinking outside the Wedding Box, Big Panorama

Free thinking wedding Photographer, comes up with Wedding photo Merge, I can't Wait to find large open spaces and fill them with cool one of a kind events. Here is a little taste of things to come. We did this at a wedding while waiting for the flowers yet again. Florists please bring those flowers on time. Tick tock times a wasting. Well enough of that here is Mike hanging with his guys. check out his full wedding day here password is Miketeresa. Thanks you Mike and Teresa what a unbelievable wonderful day. We always do a Opra secret layout wish list for the wedding couple. The wedding was in July outside, think hot humid melting. We wanted 78 degrees partly cloudy with a slight breeze. Wow and we got it, this must be the 20th wedding that it has worked on.

Thanks Nyssa for watching Opra, Thanks Opra for bringing Americas IQ up a notch.

Trash, Wear, the Wedding Dress

Here are some Trash the Dress tips from Andrews-Photography
  • The term "trash" may be misleading, as many dresses only get wet or dirty. A professional cleaning service should restore the dress to brand-new quality, enabling the wearer to then preserve and/or keep the dress, or to donate it to charity.

  • Bring your improv skills! You need to kiss on command and create laughter even if something hilarious didn't happen right at that moment. Don't be afraid to dip, dance, jump in the water, etc. for THAT pic. Think of your dream you wanted.
  • We have great ideas that will be aesthetically dramatic and interesting.Or think of your dream you wanted and didn't have enough time to go. That field of flowers or that hill over looking the river in Stillwater MN.
  • Brides that have done a day after shoot can attest to how much more relaxed the bride and groom feel--grooms that may have been a little uptight for formals appreciate this laid-back photo shoot.
  • Rather than trashing your own wedding dress, consider buying a cheap dress off the rack and trashing that instead. For your husband, you might consider him wearing some less formal clothes of his own. Or, he may just need to plan to rent his suit/tux long enough through the day after your wedding.Have him take off the jacket and join you in the pool or lake. Show off his chest and be a man!
  • Looking for "best light" will likely suggest late afternoon for a start time maybe about four or five PM. Some locations do well at any time of the day so keep an open mind.
  • Some brides go without bouquets. Or you may use a stand in form your florist, many will glady do one for cheap if they get a photo to use at there location.
  • Most brides just do their own hair and make-up. That is a judgment call.
  • Make sure your clothes are ironed and ready to go.
  • You can probably get away with wearing comfortable shoes. Wear all your wedding day jewelry, too. You may end up with some great new detail shots.
Andrews Photography does a wear the dress the day or days after the wedding for free, with any wedding package ordered. A $500.00 Value. Andrews Photography also travels internationally.

Groom Spins Fire for his Bride

Fire spinning or fire dancing. A dangerous sport do not try at home. These folks that spin, practice for years before messing with the real thing. Justice spun a real cool heart shape for the girl of his dreams. For the lady who has everything, a man of fire.

Fire and a blend of flash, the hardest photos Andrews Photography has ever taken. It was pretty tough to get anything sharp with the long exposures. If you would like fire dancers or jugglers at your next wedding. Drop us a line we would be happy to help you locate the perfect entertainment.
